Website Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Commitment

The South Dakota Unified Judicial System (UJS) is committed to ensuring equal access to our website and digital resources for all members of the public, including individuals with disabilities.

UJS follows South Dakota Bureau of Information and Technologies (BIT) standards for web development to provide an accessible website that enables the public full access to UJS information and services. See state government web standards. We strive to accommodate all users by following Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA.

Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is part of our ongoing work rather than treated as a one-time fix. While we work toward meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards, some content on our site may not be fully accessible. This may include older pages, documents or third-party content. We are actively working to address these issues and improve access across our digital services.

Request Assistance

If you encounter a barrier to accessibility on our site, please contact us so we can provide the information in an alternative format or make the necessary updates.
