Commission on Equal Access to Our Courts to Meet July 8
PIERRE, S.D.— The South Dakota Commission on Equal Access to Our Courts will meet virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. CDT.

The Commission, which is authorized by SDCL 16-2-55, provides grants to nonprofit entities that are funded, or nonprofit entities contracting with nonprofit entities that are funded, by the Legal Services Corporation and deliver legal services to persons meeting income eligibility guidelines.
New business agenda items include an update on commission appointments, update on commission funding status, update by legal services directors on previous grant awards, review of grant submissions, grant awards, and a discussion of potential legislation from the UJS to remove the answer fee in eviction cases.
