Cullen P. McNeece Appointed as New Magistrate Judge for Fifth Judicial Circuit

Fifth Judicial Circuit Presiding Judge Jon S. Flemmer is pleased to announce that the South Dakota Supreme Court has approved the appointment of Attorney Cullen Parker McNeece as Magistrate Judge for the Fifth Judicial Circuit.

McNeece was born and raised in Burlington, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in History and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law. McNeece began his law career as a Law Clerk for the Fifth Judicial Circuit and has also been employed with the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office and Bantz, Gosch & Cremer, L.L.C. in Aberdeen. Most recently he is serving as a Deputy State’s Attorney for Pennington County.

Judge McNeece will take the bench on Monday, June 21, 2021, with a formal swearing-in ceremony to follow in the future at the Brown County Courthouse in Aberdeen.
