Minnehaha County DUI Court to Hold Commencement Ceremony on Feb. 14, 2023

Sioux Falls, SD -- The Minnehaha County DUI Court will hold a graduation ceremony on 2/14/2023 at 9:30 AM. Jon Sommervold will deliver the keynote address. Jon is the Executive Director of Tallgrass Recovery and Sober Living Homes – an immersive 12-step drug and alcohol recovery center.  

The event will recognize two individuals whose lives have been transformed by the treatment and support provided by the program. Media is invited to attend, with interviews available upon request.  

The ceremony will follow immediately after the regular DUI Court session in Courtroom 3B in the Minnehaha County Court House, 425 N Dakota Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.   This ceremony is evidence of the tremendous impact the DUI court has on our community.  

Our court is truly making a difference, addressing the root problem of repeat impaired drivers: addiction.  By providing personalized treatment and strict accountability, we are saving lives.
