Oral Argument on Gov. Noem’s Request for an Advisory Opinion
PIERRE, S.D.— The South Dakota Supreme Court has ordered oral argument on Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, for case number 30488, the request of Gov. Kristi Noem for an advisory opinion regarding the interpretation of a provision of Article III Section 12 of the South Dakota Constitution.
Oral argument for the case has been set for 11 a.m. CST in the Supreme Court Courtroom on the second floor of the State Capitol in Pierre. Seating will be available on a first come first serve basis beginning at 10:30am. The oral argument will also be livestreamed on the UJS website.
