South Dakota Commission on Parenting Time Guidelines to Hold Kick-Off Meeting on July 28

PIERRE, S.D.—The South Dakota Commission on Parenting Time Guidelines will hold a kick-off meeting on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 9 a.m. CDT, virtually via Zoom.

The Commission will discuss its purpose, potential topics for consideration, a timeline, future meetings and where to hold public hearings. The meeting will include time for public comment.

The Commission on Parenting Time Guidelines is formed every four years for the duration of one year. The Commission shall review the standard parenting guidelines outlined in SDCL 25-4A-10 and shall report its findings and recommendations to the Supreme Court, Governor and the Legislature no later than Oct. 1, 2025.
