Seventh Circuit Judicial Vacancy

With the announced retirement of Supreme Court Justice Janine M. Kern effective on or about Dec. 8, 2025, and the appointment of the Hon. Robert Gusinsky to the South Dakota Supreme Court to fill her vacancy, such will create a vacancy for a Circuit Court Judge (Position G) in the Seventh Judicial Circuit. The duty station for this position is Rapid City. This position is open to lawyers and judges. Applications must be returned to the State Court Administrator's Office and postmarked no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025.
